bojack 10
This is on a computer running Vista. Just upgraded the Evernote program to 5.0.3.1614, which was very invasive. Still no joy. Jackyandbeans 1
Vista system. Same problem here. Actually, my evernote failed to synchronzse a couple of days ago. Today I cannot even log in. Reason : impossible to get access to the proxy server. Link to comment
bojack 10
Found the solution: Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > Scroll down and check "Use TLS 1.0" > Click OK Don't uncheck anything. Worked for me. No warranties, please -- I'm a complete amateur and found this solution in another thread. Link to comment

Windvoyager 0
Many thanks to Bojack for the fix. Evernote support was not responsive. I'm feeling the Vista users are getting squeezed. Link to comment

rpb 5
My Evernote on Windows 7 x64 stopped syncing a few days ago - I got a little red exclamation mark on the sync button in Evernote, and this in my activity log window: 14:59:30 [14096] 0% Can't send HTTP request, error: INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT 14:59:30 [14276] 0% Can't send HTTP request, error: INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT 14:59:30 [11300] Client synchronization finished, status: failed 14:59:30 [11300] * error: Could not connect to Evernote service 14:59:30 [11300] * elapsed time: 0s I just came across this thread, so turned on TLS 1.0 and it synced straight away. I'm not sure I like turning on TLS 1.0, however - would this be an older version that has security holes? TLS 1.0 is from back in 1999 so I'd rather not turn it on if I can get away with it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security#TLS_1.0 8-( Why on Earth are Evernote servers using TLS 1.0? Felicia.R 0
Hi. I've tried but it still doesn't work. I attach my log. Did you have to reboot? I'm in the middle of something right now, but I'll reboot later on to see if it works. I hope so! It doesn't let me neither update my Evernote nor synchronise.
