EN Mac: One device out of sync. How to align it with the others?

I run EN primarily across 4 devices: iMac, Mac Book, iPhone, iPad.

3 of the 4 devices are synced and up to date. My iMac, however, is out of sync and missing a few hundred notes and there are some tag irregularities too. I just graded to EN 5.6.1 for OS X on that iMac this morning.

If I wanted to get the iMac back in line with the other devices, what is a recommended approach? Is it simply deleting my database? If so, what folders would I include?

Thanks!

I'm seeing a lot of sync issues posted recently.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to hopefully resolve:

  1. Verify all Notes are sync'd properly to the Evernote Cloud Service using the EN Web App at Evernote.com
(Do NOT use the new BETA Web App)
  2. Verify you have good Internet access using SpeedTest.net
  3. Review the EN KB Article  Troubleshoot Sync Issues
  4. Delete & Reinstall Evernote on the Device that has incorrect Sync
    BEFORE YOU START:
    1. Warning!  This step can result in the loss of ALL Evernote data on your device.
    2. IF PC or Mac,
      1. do a full backup of the Evernote folder
      2. IF you have any Local NBs, export to ENEX files OUTSIDE of your Evernote folder
        1. Put each NB in a Separate ENEX
        2. Check the "Include Tags" box on the export dialog
        3. Best to Store on an EXTERNAL drive, like an USB ThumbDrive.
        4. AFTER you do the Reinstall, import these ENEX files (as Local NBs)
    3. IF the device is an iOS device, backup the device using iTunes
      1. Alternatively, use 3rd party tools to just backup Evernote data on the device
      2. There may be an option in iTunes to backup just Evernote as well
    4. See EN KB Article How do I uninstall and reinstall Evernote?

If none of that resolves your issue, then you can Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. Just start the Ticket Title with "BUG:  " to make it clear.

If you wish, you can skip Step #4 above, and just submit the bug report.

Warning!  All of this is just a suggestion for you to consider.  You should review carefully and ask questions about anything that you don't understand BEFORE you apply these steps.  At the time of this writing I believe all of these steps to be proper, but Evernote is a quickly changing product, and things that work today may not work tomorrow.
