When reading or editing a note on the iPad, a significant amount of the screen is taken up by the sidebar. Sometimes it is useful to have the sidebar there, but often I would prefer to have it hidden, especially when the iPad is in portrait orientation. The easiest option would be to swipe left to have the note take up the whole page, but a toggle button would also work well.
