arcangel 0
Sorry if this is confusing. I'm trying to be very clear by using some examples. I know that the search box solves this to some degree, but I find the nested tag structure system (like a file/folder system works in an OS) useful for some of my note types.I use Evernote professionally and personally and one way I use evernote is for producing client reports where I have to provide them with specific recommendations or directives that vary depending on a clients particular demographics. So for example. If regarding topic A I have the need to have specific recommendation for males and females and those who are above 18 and those who are below 18 I need (or in best case scenario would have) a tag system like this:Topic A (A first level tag) * Males (A second level or sub tag) # Below 18 (A third level or sub sub tag) # Above 18 (Another third level) * Females # Below 18 # Above 18Topic B * Males # Below 18 # Above 18 * Females # Below 18 # Above 18So when I have to paste in recommendations I'd like to go to the appropriate nested tag then just copy and paste. Unfortunately I can't have the same second and third level tags under multiple first level tags so I"m left doing something like this TA-F-B18 (my short form for topic a - female - below 18) but this is hard to keep track of. Would it be really hard to make the tags nestable in multiple master tags.So if I wanted to view Below 18 and I click on the one that is after Topic B - Female it would auto filter out all other "Below 18"''s I have with the other tags (Male and other topics)Alternatively, is there some kind of search string I have to use to find things with certain stuff but not if another tag existslike +"Topic A" -"Males" +"Below 18"Thoughts?
