cooljake 0
I'm using Android version 6.0.0.1 on my Galaxy S4unfortunetly it is no longer possible to create a shortcut to home screen for any search i.e. "notebook:tasks tag:weekly -tag:done" I didn't realized this immediatly because the existing shortcuts still worked after the last update. But due to another anoying problem of Android (it deletes all EN-shortcut after reboot) I need to create them new Well a shortcut to any notbook works, a shortcut to any note as well, but no shortcut to any search?!?I'm asked for a name, the shortcut appears with that name, but it does not find any note Is anyone dealing with the same problem? Are there any workarounds??? Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,586 Posted October 6, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted October 6, 2014 Yeah, I am unable to correctly create a home-screen shortcut to a saved search either, though I can make a shortcut to a notebook. I think that home-screen shortcuts made with previous versions of Evernote continue to work. Sounds like a bug to me. Link to comment
mstanwick 0
I'm also experiencing this issue on my Galaxy S5 with Android 4.4.2. Evernote App version is 6.3.2.2. I have a Saved Search with the query: tag:"1-Now" tag:"Actions Pending" that works great on my client. When I try to "Add to home screen", it prompts me for a shortcut title. It appears that, instead of using my saved search, it's using this title to search through my Evernote. So, if I add the shortcut to my homescreen with the title "Actions Pending", instead of searching Evernote with my saved search, it searches Evernote for "Actions Pending". This was definitely working back in October. I didn't start having issues until after I reformatted my phone. Is this a bug or is there a workaround? Link to comment
cooljake 0
@mstanwickluckily this bug is solved on my Galaxy S4, a few weeks ago, don't know the Version no.today I'm running 6.3.2.2 and it still works (I have 4 shortcuts like this) next good thing is, this shortcuts are no longer deleted if I reboot my Galaxy Link to comment
jjg544 0
I also have this problem on Android 5.1.1 and Evernote 7.0.7.1 They were working at some point not too long ago, but i can no longer add a saved search to my home screen successfully. It adds it, but it doesn't actually perform the saved search. Link to comment
mstanwick 0
@jjg554 This is now fixed on my phone. I did find a workaround that worked for me temporarily until this bug was fixed on my phone. I made the Saved Searches shortcuts in the Windows app that synced over to my phone, then added those shortcuts in the Android app as shortcuts on my home screen. It was a little annoying, but did the trick. Hope this helps! Link to comment

Maybe I'll try it by manually searching and then trying to add it to the home screen. What version are you on now? Link to comment

The problem is the shortcut is added to the android homescreen, but it does not search only in the notebook I chose in my search. It brings up notes from all notebooks. Link to comment
cooljake 0
it's really annoying with this shortcuts...I give up ths feature cause the functionality change with each updateToday I'm using EN-Version 7.0.7.1 (Android) and the shortcuts do not work again. Android itself is annoying even more, I've updated to 5.0.1, and a whole lot of things change from bad to worse, i.e. all EN-shortcuts are again deleted after reboot Link to comment
