pinkspinoni 0 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I have Evernote on my iPad mini and my galaxy s5 phone. They do not talk to each other when I press sync. What I put on the ipad does not appear on the phone and vice versa. Any ideas please? Thanx
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted October 1, 2014 Level 5* Posted October 1, 2014 In order for them to sync to each other, they both need to sync with the Evernote servers. Log into your account at http://www.evernote.com/Home.action, and see if your notes from either/both devices have been synced to the Evernote servers correctly.
pinkspinoni 0 Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Thanx Jeff to. It seems that I cannot log onto servers on Ipad or Android. Think i will have to find another app. Thanx for taking the time to help.
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted October 1, 2014 Level 5* Posted October 1, 2014 You'd need to log in using a Windows, Mac or Linux system; should work using Chrome, at least, and probably other browsers. All of this is in aid of trying to diagnose your issue. I have no problem syncing notes between several Windows desktops and two Android devices.
pinkspinoni 0 Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Ah I see. Thanks again Jefito, I shall try that.
pinkspinoni 0 Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 I thought it was the usual "not compatible with Apple" problem. I shall deffo try what you suggest. Thank u
Wordsgood 526 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I know this info is easily found in the Knowledge Base, but I think it would be a really good idea for EN to do what has been suggested a number of times by several forum members:Create a pinned forum note with some basic FAQs, including an explanation about the concept of Cloud storage & services, how Syncing works, and direct links to all the Getting Started Guides for each app. You'd need to log in using a Windows, Mac or Linux system; should work using Chrome, at least, and probably other browsers. Wordsgood 526 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Hi Pinkspinoni,Aside from this forum, Evernote also has a Knowledge Base (KB) on their company site that you navigate via a search engine. Below I've provided three links to get you started. If you also have a Windows or Mac desktop computer/laptop, the first link lists direct links to all the Getting Started Guides for each app (client/device).I've also save you a step and provide direct links to the applicable guides for your iPad and GS5 phone.A general Getting Started with Evernote KB articlehttp://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#/search?query=getting started with evernote/Getting Started Guide for Android:http://evernote.com/evernote/guide/android/Getting Started Guide for iPad:http://evernote.com/evernote/guide/ios/I have Evernote on my iPad mini and my galaxy s5 phone. COEBRA 0 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I can't edit notes created on my iPad or MAC while using the android app on my Galaxy S4. The text is "clear" so I can't tell where my cursor is in the existing note. The help sheets don't address anything like this. I'm signed in and can see the notes I create on the landing page but after selecting the note to view it, the text is not visible. Is it indeed a compatibility issue between the platforms?
