sharing documents into evernote

Recommended Posts

With this last evernote upgrade, I am no longer able to choose which notebook I want to save the shared document in. Once saved in the default notebook, I then have to move it to appropriate notebook. Previously I would share a document, rename it & choose a notebook all in one step. Help!

I am usually opening an attachment from an email on Samsung Tablet kit kat version. When viewing the attachment, I then click the menu button to share with Evernote. Now it goes to the default notebook and no longer allows me to move to a different notebook and to rename the file. I typically might open a pdf or excel document that I want to save in Evernote so I can access it anywhere. Thanks for your help.

Hi - I believe the browser clipper settings affect how the email clipper works - and I guess you might be using a browser clipper if you have web mail..  Check the browser clipper options to see whether a single notebook has been specified as the destination.  The desktop version of Evernote also has some notebook options under Tools > Options > Clipping.

This is very frustrating because everything worked seemlessly before the last evernote upgrade. I don't believe I am using any web clipper. I would open my email, preview the attached document, and then share into evernote. The share menu button would share into dropbox, email, FB, hpeprint etc. It was simple to share into evernote, click the 3 liitle dots to open menu in evernote... which gave option to move into another notebook. Now it takes several more steps to accomplish this task. I am not using the web clipper and don't understand your suggestion of browser clipper options. Thanks.

Hmmn.  Unless a tablet specialist can come up with anything better,  I can only suggest that you sync carefully,  then uninstall and reinstall your app;  maybe something got dinged in the update.
