cegarman 0
Hi, Having an issue with Evernote ... Background: No internet access at work for non-work devices. Nearest usable Wifi is approx. 1/2 mile away. Usually I can just lock the tablet with Evernote running and can access the app at work without needing internet access. Situation: 1) logged into my Evernote account at home via my tablet. 2) locked the tablet leaving the Evernote app running in the background. 3) drive to work with tablet still running but locked 4) had to reboot tablet due to another app locking the tablet up 5) unable to sign into Evernote Issue: I try to log in into my Evernote app on the tablet (no internet connection) and the login fails. Is this the way it is supposed to work? No internet access means I cant use the app locally? Is there a way to sign in to the app locally or do I need to go somewhere with Wifi just to login so I can work locally? Regards,Robert Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,137 Posted September 23, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted September 23, 2014 Evernote is a cloud-based note-taking app, so it wasn't designed for offline use. As you already know, if you can stay logged in, the app stays available - presumably thinking it's temporarily lost the network connection - but in this case your hardware conspired to kill the app. There's no way that I know to have it start offline.
