"Release notes" history for all clients... on a timeline

Recommended Posts

Sometimes we get anxious for more Evernote changes and updates... like yesterday. At the same time, we would do well to take a peek at our release notes (desktop) from time to time and see how far we've come in such a short space of time - especially over the last year and a bit. Is there any sort of release notes log/ history for new features rolled out, by date, for all clients, tucked away somewhere on the web?

In the meantime, here's a brief summary of what I take to be some of the cool "little" improvements over the last year and a bit... for the Windows client, copied directly from my release notes. This doesn't include fixes:

  • Shared note URLs are shorter and cleaner. No more long links.
  • PDF annotation is now available for Premium and Evernote Business users.
  • Evernote Business users have business and personal notebooks separated for easier searching.
  • Request the ability to edit notes in read-only notebooks
  • New View menu option: Display shortcuts in a horizontal toolbar
  • New Premium Feature: Presentation Mode
    • Present your notes in a beautifully laid out, full screen view with one click
    • Display images and PDFs in the presentation
    • Use the laser pointer feature to help everyone follow along
    • Turn on Night Mode for white text on a dark background
  • Improvements to prevent note conflicts when multiple people are working on a note.
  • New Notebook picker. You can now type to select notebooks throughout the app
  • You can now annotate images inside of your notes
  • Recognition & formatting of scanned business cards into Contact Notes
  • ScanSnap Evernote Edition Scanner Support
  • Introducing Evernote Business 2.0
  • Able to multiselect tags with ctrl+click
  • Shortcuts give you quick access to Notes, Notebooks, Tags & Saved Searches
  • Beautiful new Card view to browse your notes
  • Atlas helps you rediscover all the palces you've been
  • Smarter search with TypeAhead suggestions and filters
  • Adding a reminder pins the note to the top of your note list
  • Get Reminder notifications for notes in shared notebooks
  • Highlighter tool for highlighting text within a note
  • Keyboard shortcuts
    • Jump to your first 10 Shortcuts in the left sidebar (Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+0)
    • Jump to Tags (Shift+Alt+T)
    • Jump to notebooks (Shift+Alt+N)
  • Reminders within a notebook can be reordered
  • Reminders Beta 1
    • Adding a reminder pins the note to the top of your note list
    • Mark notes as Done when you complete them
    • See reminders and get notifications for notes in shared notebooks
    • Reminders appear above the notelist in card view and snippet view
    • Reminders can be quickly marked as done in the snippet view & card view

Frank, did you ever find a complete release history?

I'd like to know the release date for the first version on each platform.
