Windows desktop app - on logout, app reopens

When logging out of the desktop app, Evernote always reopens, prompting to login.  I am not aware of ANY other desktop app that does this!

 

Is there any way to disable this behaviour?

Sorry, I do not see how this thread addresses my question.

 

When I log out of the desktop app, it should disappear until I invoke it again.  It makes no sense that the app reappears immediately after logging out.  End of story.
