Cleaner looking Highlighting of PDFs Possible?

As a premium user I have begun to start highlighting and marking my PDF documents within the Evernote iPad application. I like a few of the features offered especially the summary page option that is presented at the beginning of the PDF document with a summary of all my annotations within. However, what I would like to see is a cleaner more presentable highlighting option. As it stands now trying to highlight a sentence of text in a document using my finger produces a wavy and less than ideal result. Going over the same selection, to adequately highlight and cover the selections that I might've missed with the first less accurate pass, overlays and multiplies the highlighting color and overall produces a messy at best looking final product.

Is there anyway to have some sort of snap-to-text highlight functionality or at least some option to highlight locking to the horizontal plane to create a straight line of highlighted text?
