Coffee First Thing 112
One missing feature that reduces the utility of Evernote's reminders is that reminders are only displayed when looking at all notes in Windows or on the web. That is, when you're looking at your default notebook or another notebook, reminders aren't displayed. (Maybe I'm missing how to do that; I'd like this to be user oversight, rather than an absent feature.) When I use Evernote I'm usually looking at my default notebook, not all notes. It would be great if the reminder list could appear when you have your default notebook or another notebook open. Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted September 11, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted September 11, 2014 I'm not sure that I get that. The Reminders sublist is displayed whenever a note with a reminder is part of the current note filter, and only the reminder notes that match that note filter are displayed in the sublist. In other words, they reflect my current note filter context, just like regular notes do. This is a good thing, as not all reminders relate to certain contexts. Link to comment
Coffee First Thing 112
I see what you mean: If I have a reminder for a note in my default notebook, that reminder is displayed. (I had never set a reminder for any note in my default notebook; just in other notebooks.) I have reminders in notebooks other than my default notebook. I keep only a handful of notes --usually no more than 10-- in my default notebook. I use my default notebook as my working notebook, as uncluttered and sparse as possible. But it would be great to see all my Evernote reminders while viewing my default notebook. That way I could view and work with my most important notes and keep an eye on my reminders at the same time. I understand Evernote's system now -- thanks. Still, it would be handy to be able to view all reminders whenever you're using your default notebook, or any other notebook. I guess that's a feature request. I'm not sure that I get that.
