Robert π³π± 11 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I have searched the forums but received no hits.Β I am trying to build a saved search that shows all notes that need to be synced. I have not been able to find this in the search grammar. Is there a (hidden) attribute that I can compare against?
ScottLougheed 1,316 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I haven't seen any search grammar for this task. Perhaps the best bet is to go into list view, right click any column header, and add the "sync status" column. Then sort by sync status. Black dots mean the note requires syncing.Β Β A bit of a chore, but if you leave the sync status column visible 100% of the time, then its trivial to just sort by that when you feel inclined to check (which for me is almost never, since I have only very rarely encountered sync issues, and most issues I experience are for obvious reasons like a crummy connection).Β
Robert π³π± 11 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 Thanks for your quick reply. I had already figured this out myself, but wanted to know if there was a quick way to view them (and not have to go back and forth between list view, sorted columns or even snippet view). Hopefully someone else will have a clue.
ScottLougheed 1,316 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Ah, yeah switching views is a bit of a drag!
Level 5 CalS 5,327 Posted September 3, 2014 Level 5 Posted September 3, 2014 @rbregt, Any reason you don't want to just hit the sync button and then they all will be synced?
Robert π³π± 11 Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 During my daily notes review I'd like to be able to see which notes I have (not yet) edited since the last sync, just before I hit the button (or wait for the next scheduled sync)

Well, you can always sort by the last update column and get a sense of what synced when. Also, as a by product, any notes to be synced should be on the top of the list, assuming reverse order sync.

I like to keep my notes sorted by date created as much as possible. I (sometimes manually) set this to create a proper timeline.
