Mrsabc 0
I want to file notes in a Notebook and delete them from All Notes folder. Can I do that? It seems when I delete a note from All Notes, it gets deleted in the Notebook too. Link to comment
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted September 1, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted September 1, 2014 All Notes is exactly as described, it's all your notes. This doesn't mean that you can't have your notes in Notebooks. Link to comment
Level 5* s2sailor 2,417 Posted September 1, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted September 1, 2014 All Notes is a "view" of your collection of notes, not a folder (or notebook, in Evernote speak) that can be deleted. As long as a note exists, it will show up in the All Notes view. Link to comment
Mrsabc 0
Thanks for confirming what seemed to be so. If I could just open to a different screen than All Notes, when I first open Evernote, that would help. Maybe if I could open to Notebooks, that way my private/personal notes could be kept more private. Can I set my first/default window to something besides All Notes? Link to comment

Are you mixing work and personal notes? Note: Evernote doesn't have screens per se, it has filters that narrow down the number of notes shown; those filters can be based on notebooks, tags, dates or other search criteria. So... Can I set my first/default window to something besides All Notes? You may be able to make this happen, depending on which Evernote client (Mac, Windows, web, iOS, Android) you are using.
