Web clipper won't install

I just downloaded the Evernote app on my iPad and was excited to try out the web clipper. I told it to download to Safari, which it seemed to do. But when I click on the download it doesn't open. I don't receive any messages, nothing happens.

There is no official clipper for safari on an iPad at the moment.

The Evernote Web Clipper doesn't work on iOS 7 Safari due to Apple imposed restrictions.  But standby for iOS 8, where Apple has opened up Safari (and other apps) access by 3rd party apps.
