Lost And In Need Of A Map

Have been using evernote on a tablet for 3+ years, have now acquired a laptop and am attempting to use the desktop version for the first time, I am trying to take an audio/video recording, But unlike the android app version where its rather simple with a few taps and BOOM you're recording audio, I cannot determine the manner in which to do this on the desktop, much to my chagrin, I don't know if theres a difference between browsers, but I am on chrome if thats of any use...

So you're using the web-based version of Evernote?  Is it feasible for you to download and install the desktop version?  Either way - look for new note;  and choose new Audio note...
