Level 5 EdH 1,670 Posted August 18, 2014 Level 5 Posted August 18, 2014 Is there a way not to have an annotation summary prepended to the PDF file? I wouldn't mind if it were appended, but when prepended it makes it difficult for me and recipient to see what the document is about when the first page, and the preview shown in EN, is a bunch of random edits. My preference would be to just eliminate it. I know what the annotations are as it is the big fluffy pinkish-red stuff in the file. iOS and Windows do this. I suspect the Mac does to, but cannot confirm.
gmalone1 2 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I totally agree. This is a BAD FEATURE. Please make it user optional. Geez. Who thought this would be a good thing?
Johnathan Hebert 81 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 You can uncheck "Edit -> Include Annotation Summary"
Level 5 EdH 1,670 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Level 5 Posted September 2, 2014 You can uncheck "Edit -> Include Annotation Summary" Good to know, but two issues: It isn't persistent, so you have to remember to do that with every note. I cannot find that option on iOS at all.

Level 5 EdH 1,670 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Level 5 Posted September 2, 2014 Thanks Jonathan. Is there a registry hack you are aware of to just turn the feature off? That would be ideal, or make it a persistent setting.

Level 5 EdH 1,670 Posted May 24, 2016 Author Level 5 Posted May 24, 2016 right, but it isn't persistent. I find I often have to go back and uncheck it.
IncrediMetaBeta 23 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Is the ability to activate or de-activate "Include Annotation Summary" no longer in the Edit menu? I do not see the menu choice, "Edit/Include Annotation Summary," in Evernote for Windows, version 3.3.3.3502. If that is correct, ie., that it has been removed, has it been relocated? Or eliminated? If eliminated, why?
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,256 Posted October 22, 2016 Level 5 Posted October 22, 2016 According to this support article on annotations, this is a Premium feature. Are you on that level? I just tested, and it is indeed there on the Edit menu in the Annotation dialog, and it's functional.
Level 5 EdH 1,670 Posted October 23, 2016 Author Level 5 Posted October 23, 2016 The ability to disable annotation summary is a premium feature?
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,634 Posted October 23, 2016 Evernote Expert Posted October 23, 2016 I think the ability to make 'em in the first place is -apparently- a premium feature...
GiacomoLaw 134 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 You can do it on iOS too, let me find an example.
