When sharing notebooks the tags tree disappears

I use to organise my tags in a tree, which makes them way more useful. 

When I share a notebook, the person who consults the shared notebook sees a list of flat tags, without the tree structure. 

Is it normal, or a bug ?

That's been standard behavior for quite awhile, so I'm guessing that Evernote doesn't consider it to be a bug (or at least a high-priority problem). I know that some forum-goers consider it to be a misfeature at best...
