How to invoke shortcut from the keyboard

Recommended Posts

I use Evernote with TSW to do time, task and project management.

I am almost at the point where I can do my list and tasks processing in Evernote, using only the keyboard.

The one thing I don't know how to do, is to invoke a selected Shortcut.

I currently place my Shortcuts in the left hand panel. Most of my Shortcuts are saved searches.

I can use tab to access pretty much all of the areas of the application I need to make use of. However, while I'm able to highlight a Shortcut I want to invoke, hitting "Enter" does nothing.

Does any one know how to accomplish what I want to do?

I would like this information for the Windows and Mac desktop clients.

Thanks.

On Windows, when the shortcut is highlighted, press the spacebar to access it.

On the Mac the sidebar is not accessible from the keyboard, but you can go to your first 9 shortcuts via Cmd-1 through Cmd-9.

Actually, there's one more thing I can't figure out how to do:

How can I open the Move-To dialog for a note to move a note to a different Notebook, in the Windows client?

I can do this in the Mac client by using ^-Cmd-M.

Thanks.

There is no equivalent hotkey for the Windows client.

As far as I can tell, the only way to do this on Windows from the keyboard is to type the following sequence of keys: Alt, n, v, n

Windows users, please correct me if I’m wrong.

Alt-N,  Alt-V  seems to do the job..

Thanks for the tips, everyone.

The correct sequence to move a note to another Notebook, from the Note being opened as its own window is:

Alt-N  -- to open the Note menu

V -- for Mo(v)e to Notebook , without the Alt

Alt-O -- for M(o)ve

Hitting enter when you've selected the target Notebook will not work.

This is for the Windows client of Evernote on Windows 7.
