SahilC 13
Hello EN Community! Is there a way I can add a reminder to a note, but only for a date, and not with a specific time? Sometimes there'll be a task without a specific time attached to it. Thanks, Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,078 Posted July 21, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted July 21, 2014 If you add a reminder, the initial set-up is for the date you specify and the current time. Depending on the nature of the reminder I tend to set the time to 0800 just for consistency. I don't believe its possible to ignore the time. Link to comment
Level 5 jbenson2 2,149 Posted July 21, 2014 Level 5 Share Posted July 21, 2014 Date without time request... In Windows, I use the shortcut Ctrl + ; followed by the backspace as needed. Or you could use AutoKey to define a hotkey for just the date.http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/FormatTime.htm Link to comment

But then it'd give me a reminder at 8am, which I wouldn't want. Date without time request... In Windows, I use the shortcut Ctrl + ; followed by the backspace as needed. I'm thinking of something along the lines of Google Now's reminders. You can set a reminder for a particular date+time, time, or just date, and it'll remind you as "All Day". Link to comment

I do not use the reminder function because it does not work in the Evernote Windows list view. Link to comment

SahilC 13
AFAIK that's a feature request then..Cool! Is there a specific place to submit a request? I clicked the link in your sig, but that's a general support page. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,078 Posted July 22, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted July 22, 2014 Evernote may be changing the support pages around - that did say feedback as well as support requests, I'm sure... Anyhow; you already made one request by posting here, and I changed the title of the post so it now clearly is a request. Thanks for the feedback! Link to comment
Wordsgood 526
Sahil, doesn't your smartphone come with it's own calendar? My Samsung Galaxy 3 does and I can schedule appointments, tasks, to do's and events months in advance with repeating reminders. I can also add full contact, location & event details, as well as attach notes from another part od the same calendar function. What kind of phone do you hsve, specifically, I mean? I ask because there are all kinds of free resources online to learn the advanced functions of your phone, including, but not limited to:* official and unofficial user manuals* a ton of "How To" YouTube videos.* some Google searches will bring up several How To articles* and sometimes even free Users Helping Users ForumsHello EN Community! Is there a way I can add a reminder to a note, but only for a date, and not with a specific time? I could probably copy the note link into a calendar appointment but that would be a lot of unnecessary work. Link to comment
Wordsgood 526
Yes, it would be nice and I do use the Evernote Reminder function myself, but only as a quick visual reminder of ongoing projects as they stay sorta pinned near the top of each month. It would be great if Evernote were an all-in-one app, but I don't think that's likely to happen. The other thing I do is that when I have a lot of text notes for upcoming appointments/events & tasks, is leave a very brief summary in my calender with a link to the notes I'm keeping about them in Evernote. It just makes my calendar less cluttered. ☺ Link to comment
