Google chrome error message

For the past three days, everytime I open google chrome I get this message-

 

EVERNOTE WEB CLIPPER

This version of Evernote Web Clipper is no longer compatible with the Evernote Service. Please install the latest version.

 

But this will not leave the screen, and the computer freezes forcing me to do a CTRL-ALT-DEL to close the browser. I have had to abandon google chrome. I tried uninstalling Evernote AND Chrome, but it is still there on re-install. I can not get rid of it. Help! Thanks

Hi. I had this problem. My fix is:

 

1. Open Chrome using "incognito" mode. This will allow you to access the settings button and uninstall the web clipper.

 

2. If you don't know how to open Chrome using "incognito" mode..... create a short cut to chrome and pin that short cut to your task bar. Once it is on your task bar, just right click and in the context menu you will see "incognito" mode. Click that.

This has been fixed in Clipper version 6.2.1. Please restart Chrome or reinstall the Clipper to update to the latest version.
