Level 5* gazumped 12,222 Posted July 19, 2014 Level 5* Posted July 19, 2014 If you're unable to sync to Evernote on a new installation..Use a browser to check your account on Evernote.com - this confirms your account is OK and that you're able to connect to the internet.Try to connect again - failures can be due to busy connections at your end or traffic on Evernote's servers.Exit evernote via File > Exit and uninstall it - ask for help first if you have unsynced or local notes.Reinstall and retry sync

Online connection with internet is ok.
Level 5* gazumped 12,222 Posted July 21, 2014 Level 5* Posted July 21, 2014 OK you need to look for odder reasons not to connect - if you search the forums there are quite a few; try https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/23453-cant-sync/ https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/37059-evernote-cant-sync-bc-internet-explorer-is-in-offline-mode/ https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/27219-not-using-internet-explorer-so-how-do-i-sync/ for starters...
richardnau 1 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Same problem in Australia. Evernote on Win8.1 home PC is not syncing. On iPad and work PC (also Win8.1) no problems. Log extract: 20:21:19 [6776] 83% Submitting batch of 5 note calls, size=52.5MB20:21:57 [6776] 83% TException: EDAM processing error: Excessive batch response size20:21:58 [6032] Client synchronization finished, status: failed20:21:58 [6032] * 12 items received20:21:58 [6032] * elapsed time: 42s20:25:11 [7728] Registered session count: 1, last session: 2014/07/22 20:15:00 PC uses IE11 - so no possibility to set to Work Offline mode. Any ideas?

richardnau 1 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Have you tried all the suggestions so far in this thread? Yes:Uninstall/reinstall = no changeNot using IE8 (IE11 on the computer, which does not have 'work offline' as a configurable option.Something has changed - becasue Evernote was working a few weeks ago (last time I opened it up on this PC), and works daily (I use it daily) on work PC (same account, also Win 8.1). Puzzled...
Level 5* gazumped 12,222 Posted July 22, 2014 Level 5* Posted July 22, 2014 Hmmn. If you last used Evernote on this PC some weeks ago but use it daily at work, your database is having to catch up with a lot of information. Is it feasible to go through the 'rename database and rebuild it' process? (Search around the forums for fulller details if you need them and beware of losing local/ unsynced notes).
XiaoA 2 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 For recent issues on "EDAM processing error: Excessive batch response size", do as follows: 1. Tools->Options->Update to pre-released version when available 2. Help->Check for Updates After update, the issue is gone.
richardnau 1 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Yes, it was a bug. Fixed by new release out today.
Level 5* gazumped 12,222 Posted July 23, 2014 Level 5* Posted July 23, 2014 Glad the new release fixed it.. hold on: new release? No-one tells me nothin'.... downloading now! Thanks for the headsup .
Peter Nguyen 1 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Yes supposed it a new release was supposed to fix this issue. However it did not fix mines, after sending the logs to support, they tracked it down to one of my notes in trash that was corrupted. I deleted it and everything works now.
