agedpom 0
After I grab and drop an item o to an evernote note, what happens if a) I amend the original item. or I trash the original item? Link to comment
C6REW 416
It stays in Evernote exactly as you originally placed it in there. Depending on what the item is, you would either have to open it from the Note to change it, or if it is an Excel Spreadsheet, have the original on your computer set up with an 'Import Folder' into Evernote. When you change the original and save, it will then automatically save that new version into Evernote. All you have to do is dip into Evernote and delete the older version of the Note with embedded spreadsheet. Regards Chris Link to comment
agedpom 0
Thanks. It sounds so easy. However, does that mean that, unless I trash the original, I am keeping two (or more) copies of the file or screenshot etc on my computer? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,331 Posted July 16, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted July 16, 2014 An attached file is incorporated into the Evernote database, and the original is superfluous to requirements unless you want to keep it somewhere as a backup. You can just delete it. Link to comment
Candid 167
If you use import folders, you can set those to delete files once they are imported. Link to comment
