...on Windows 7 x64. Why?!
There are several ways to look for or be notified of reminders. Perhaps an audible cue didn't make the cut.
It should have made the cut and then for the user to decide. I think it is a great feature request - @viplord
I agree it's a reasonable feature request, though it's always stronger if the suggestion has some sort of a use case wrapped around it...
I'm not aware of a single way that the Windows client provides a notification. Not counting the fleeting message that appears in the lower right which looks very similar to the sync notification and can be easily missed. Some type of persistent notification such as updating the activity icon should be provided. We shouldn't have to remember to go search for a reminder. Definitely a lot of room for improvement here in addition to an audible notification for those that might want that.
So, there any solution or not?
Sounds like there isn't, as far as anyone responding can tell, otherwise they would have just told you. The Evernote folks will read this and take it as a feature request, most likely.
Please add a sound on the reminders. Its useless having reminders without a sound to remind us!!!!!!!
