BuBee 1
Is there a grid view of the notes available besides snippet/list views? I was searching through the forum and I saw that there was grid view available back in 2012, but what happened? Is that a premium feature now? I use Evernote on mobile and the web. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,031 Posted July 4, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted July 4, 2014 Hi - there are no extra views available for premium users; what you see is currently what you get - with minor variations depending on what device you're using. Link to comment
CynthiaW 3
I am brand new to Evernote. I have been reading about it, and one of the appealing factors was the grid view of the notebook. I liked the visual of being able to see how notes were laid out and stacked, etc. BUT, as I actually work with Evernote, it appears I cannot access the grid view. What gives? Was the grid view an option at one point, but, no longer is? Maybe I am doing something wrong. There appears to be no option for me other than list view and snippets. I hope someone can help! I'm not sure if I will be as interested in using Evernote if that isn't an option. Let me know, thanks, Cindy Link to comment
GiacomoLaw 134
The cards view is only avadible for the desktop clients. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,031 Posted May 16, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted May 16, 2015 Hi. There's no grid view to the best of my knowledge, though there are add-ins which allow you to see your notes in the sort of layout you describe - see https://www.moh.io/mohiomap Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,307 Posted May 16, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted May 16, 2015 There is a card view, and if you shrink the note window by dragging the left side of it to the right you get what I think you mean as a grid view. Also, if you hit F10 you eliminate the left pane which adds more space to the grid view. Makes it harder to view the note in the note note window, but you can always double click the note and open it in a new window. FWIW. Link to comment

CynthiaW 3
Please understand that I am just trying to learn Evernote and haven't really got started yet. When I started reading about Evernote, I thought this: https://thecancergeek.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/evernote-notebookscreen-e1307591527884.png is what the notes and notebooks would look like. I hope that link will work. I thought it would look like little notebooks. For whatever reason, visualizing it like this, helps me "see" the stacks/notebooks/notes, where having them in a column doesn't seem to have the same "organizing" effect for me. Maybe I need a different type of visual to get the concept. Maybe I'm being too picky, but, I need a way to look at the screen and understand how things are being filed. It is similar to the way I look at a calendar. I intensely dislike calendars that show just one day. I like to see the entire month at a glance to get the big picture. I hope this doesn't sound too weird. I love the concept of Evernote. I just want to make sure that if I decide to dive in and take the big plunge that it is something I will truly use and commit to. Thanks for your help!cindy Link to comment
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted May 17, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted May 17, 2015 That's quite an old Evernote UI and as you've probably seen the latest versions have moved away from that skeuormorphic design. Link to comment

As far as I know, Evernote never went with wood. I think that is an Evernote Peek screenshot. For some reason, the Peek app got some nice-looking notebooks with colors, logos, and so forth, but Evernote has moved away from those under the direction of someone called Cobra Commander, who had the cones surgically removed from his eyes by a new-hire named Destro. It's all gray and non-descript these days Link to comment
