Mata Hari 15
I have asked this question for a year ago. Still not solved.I also asked the EN staff. No responseThere are also others who ask thisNow I suspect EN deliberately does not show on TM because it maybe a s c "premium feature" ?? Link to comment
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted June 11, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted June 11, 2014 Apple hide the user/library folder in Time Machine as well as on your Mac. Google how to view it and then you'll be able to view the Evernote folder that is there. This isn't a premium feature or some sort of conspiracy or actually anything to do with Evernote, and no, I'm not going to find you a link that explains why Apple do it or how to get round it. Once you have figured that bit out, the Evernote location on TM is the same as on your Mac: If you downloaded directly it's in user/library/application support/evernoteIf you downloaded from the app store it's here ~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.EvernoteAnd, if you have an iMac with a fusion drive, it might be here/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/Evernote/account/<your username>/ Link to comment

Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted June 11, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted June 11, 2014 I'm not seeing that link on 5.5.1 and it won't actually help Minki out as he is looking for his data on his Time Machine drive. Link to comment
ScottLougheed 1,316
In addition to all of that OS X defaults to hiding the Library folder which may contain your Evernote database. This is an Apple thing, NOT an Evernote thing. To force your Library to be shown, you can use the following command in Terminal:sudo chflags nohidden ~/Library/This should also make the library folder visible in your TM backups. Link to comment

Mata Hari 15
Why not admit: there is no TM back up for EN. Not in the usual sense which is to just read the files on TM.Now the question is how come ?Since the backup issues is so problematic, EN is simply not worth time or money, which I said right from the beginning several years ago. It is an Apple issue. EN has nothing to do with how Time Machine backs up EN Files. BTW, it is not just EN's files. Any database on a Mac is hidden the same way. You can restore your EN Files from Time Machine the same way you would if the Library were not hidden. So, you can do more with the files than just few them. Link to comment
