Tammo Peters 11
Kaspersky Anti Virus has detected a Trojan Virus in an Evernote-file (....\Evernote\libtidy.dll ) How do I solve this problem? Can I eliminate this file? Link to comment
Level 5* EdH 1,670 Posted June 6, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted June 6, 2014 No. You can try reinstalling to ensure your file doesn't have a virus, but there is a good chance Kaspersky is reporting a false positive. Send the file to them and let them investigate, but that is a standard evernote file that it needs. Link to comment
gbarry 2,659
You shouldn't eliminate the file. EdH's initial reaction is correct--we'd recommend reaching out to Kaspersky, as this is likely a false positive. If you want, you can upload your copy to virustotal.com and then link to the scan results. In some cases your antivirus software may not allow you to upload it. If that's the case, we'd still recommend reaching out to Kaspersky. Link to comment
