Business Cards to Contacts

Recommended Posts

When Cardmunch was purchased by Evernote, I moved all my Cardmunch business cards into Evernote. When I take a picture of a new business card, how do I automatically save it to my Iphone contacts, like I used to do in Cardmunch?

Three options:

1) In Evernote on your iOS device, tap your Evernote username at the top to open settings. Navigate to:

General>Camera>Business Cards

And at the bottom, enable "Save to Contacts".

For your already-saved contact notes

2) For any contact note on your iOS device, select the ellipsis (the three dots) and select "save to contacts".

3) Same process on the Mac: Select any single/multiple contact notes, then from the menu bar Note>share>send to Contact (I believe its the same on Windows).

Hi Scott,

Thanks for posting help.  Your reply to my other post on syncing didn't seem to work, or I missed something. Yes, I've set Save to Contacts in Evernote and it does--but only on my iPhone 5.  The new saved contacts do not appear in my Google Contacts on my PC (W'7). I don't have a MAC. What step(s) am I missing? How can I make it sync from iPhone5 to PC?

Thanks very much.

Yes, and to verify I just entered a new Contact on iPhone and it immediately showed up in Google contacts on my PC, and then I took and new one and it DID save via Evernote   Hm?? Maybe the upgrade to 8.1 solved this, as that is the 1st time it did save automatically. So, I bothered you for nothing. Thanks

"tap your Evernote username at the top to open settings.": There seem to be no option to get to settings. (Tapping on the username has no effect). What am I missing? At this point when I use the camera (Using "+" gets me to Notes. I have an option to use the Camera there), the business card appears as a note. I then go to my desktop (Mac) and use "Note>sharing>send to Contact". (I use iPhone 6 with latest iOS version). Thanks for your help. (I have done everything that you described in your post before but not anymore!!)
