items shown in the list-view

Recommended Posts

Is there the option to select the row-items

  • "check-box" and its
  • "status" and/or the
  • "reminder-date", (as long as it is open)  [ this should be a very helpful function ]

to be shown in the "list-view"?

Could this question be a trigger  for the software-developer to implement this function?

You can search for notes with check-box, type : todo:* for all, todo:true for checked ones, todo:false for unchecked...

For the reminder date, I don't know (I use em very sparingly).

It isn't possible for you to have these headings in list view.

You can do some creative searches to help with the first two:

todo:*     will return all notes with checkboxes (you can specify tags or notebooks to narrow down the context)

to find checked/un-checked boxes:

todo:true

todo:false

You could set up a series of saved searches including other parameters like notebook/tag/relative dates ranges so that you can regularly bring up, for example, notes created yesterday with un-checked boxes in my "work" notebooks tagged "project X".

For reminder dates... your probably best off just looking at reminders in the reminder section of Evernote, they can be sorted by due date or a couple of other parameters.

Don't see what you're talking about.

Found  some search term for reminders :

reminderOrder:[integer] - matches notes that have been marked as a reminder. The actual integer attribute value is used to order reminders relative to one another and is generally not useful in search. E.g.:

  • reminderOrder:*
    • Matches all notes that have been marked as a reminder

reminderTime:[datetime] - matches notes with a reminderTime attribute that is equal to or later than the argument datetime. reminderTime is the time at which the user has requested a reminder about the note. E.g.:

  • reminderTime:day
    • Matches all notes with a reminder set for today
  • reminderTime:day+7
    • Matches all notes with a reminder set for the next 7 days

reminderDoneTime:[datetime] - matches notes with a reminderDoneTime attribute that is equal to or later than the argument datetime. reminderDoneTime is the time at which the user dismissed the reminder. E.g.:

  • reminderDoneTime:day
    • Matches all notes with a reminder done time of today
  • reminderDoneTime:day-7
    • Matches all notes with a reminder done time in the past week

On the Windows client, the List view has no separate reminders list at the top (neither does the Card view, for that matter). If you use the Snippet view, then reminders that are part of the current search filter appear in their own list at the top of the note list. This list can be expanded or closed, and the members can be sorted in several ways.

Ah, will yes, there are those search terms, for sure.

I was referring to the section of the evernote window that displays your reminders, either by notebook or by date:

(This is on a mac, but I imagine Windows has a similar section...?)

D'oh! Thanks Jef.
