d_k 2
Hi all, I use Evernote with Android , iOS and Mac OS devices: 1. When I create a note with Mac OS client, first words go to empty title.2. If I create note without a title with Android I get an empty title. Or "Note + [location]" with "Auto-title" option turned on.3. And when I create note without title with iPad app, I get "Note" as a title. (There are a bit more options. For example, I can create voice note with Mac OS menu bar button, it will titled as "Untitled Quick Note") So, don't we need the same experience across all Evernote clients? I like Mac OS way as most... obvious. I think, Android way could be useful if we add creation timestamp to Auto-title: that will be really helpful for notes merging. But why we need all these different untitled tittles? Link to comment

And iOS is really one device and Android come in about a thousand different shapes and frequently bespoke environments. Link to comment
d_k 2
Android fragmentation is awful, yep. The same interface for all platforms is really big deal, yes. But same words for the same things - that's pretty realistic. Link to comment

Due respect - not what you originally asked for: if you'd like auto-title (forinstance) on all platforms, it means accessing a lot of different information sources for clues to what the note might be meant to be about. Some OS's may be more open than others with that sort of access, or it may be more technically difficult to orchestrate it. Didn't say it wouldn't be nice to have this, nor did I say that I didn't think Evernote would deliver when they can; just sayin' it's maybe more complicated than telling the team to cut down on the gaming and get on with it... d_k 2
Sorry, but to set title "Note + [location]" you do not have to access a lot of different information sources. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,079 Posted May 20, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted May 20, 2014 I don't have location 'on' for most of my notes, so any notes that would have been headed "Untitled Note" are all going to be called "Note" instead? Link to comment
d_k 2
Yes, like it is now (on iPad) already. Titles of untitled notes don't make sense, this is sad for me, and I like Google Keep way with optional titles. But that is another issue, I think. Link to comment
