If I cut a sentence using Shift uparrow to select the whole line, Apple-X to cut it, move down a line, and Apple-V to paste it, Evernote doesn't paste in the newline that it cut, and I have to manually hit Return to add it back in. This is reproducible always. Running OS X 10.9.3, Mac Evernote 5.5.1 client.
Example:
In a note, enter three lines of text:
line1
line2
line3
Put your cursor at the start of line2, do a Shift downarrow, cut, move up to before line1, and paste. Now it'll look like:
