Need tips for handwriting

Hey all, 

 

I use Evernote on a Galaxy Tab 10.1.  Everything works very well, except the in app handwriting.

 

My handwriting is (in EN) is jerky and harder to read than on paper.  Is it the old tablet? me? the new app?

 

Any tips or help making the in app writing useful would be very appreciated.
