lometogo 13
I am running Windows Desktop and have a "view" question. At one time, I had my EN desktop set up so I had NO LEFT COLUMN, Title in the next column, and the highlighted note appearing on the far right column. However, I have looked everywhere and tried many things and cannot recreate that view. Can anyone tell me the magic solution? Thanks, TC Link to comment
Level 5 jbenson2 2,149 Posted May 3, 2014 Level 5 Share Posted May 3, 2014 In my situation, it is a two step process. 1.) F10 toggles off the Left Panel (which frees up more viewable real estate for my content)2.) Ctrl + Shift + F5 changes the view to the Vertical List View (a powerful way to see more of my content) This is what it looks like:http://www.evernote.com/shard/s2/sh/1a494a7a-60d6-42fe-8ca3-9e36ced9df5b/3f67daf3f29d432a98ac66c63f1a6e60 I am at a loss to explain why Evernote keeps this wonderful option such a secret.Probably because they messed up the UI so badly with version 5.0.Example: they removed the Short Cuts from the top and hid them in the Left Panel. Grrr!Based on their minimal marketing efforts, the Vertical View might be better called the Evernote Stealth Mode. Link to comment
lometogo 13
Thanks, Jbesnon2. That key combination ~ Ctrl+Shifr+F5 ~ must have worked at one time on my system but now does not...Just another little frustration in EN...I love the software so much but get so frustrated with its anomalies...GRRRRRR Link to comment

Try the key combo a couple times. It will toggle back and forth. Link to comment
lometogo 13
OK, I discovered another shortcut which seems to work: CTRL + F11, which toggles the display of the note panel. Link to comment

Haven't found any differences yet, though I haven't tried too hard. BTW, Ctrl+Shift+F5 works for me; I'm not sure why it doesn't for you. Ctrl+F11 doesn't quite do the same thing: it toggles the note pane on and off. (see the View menu entry) Link to comment
