FierceChristian 0
I want to delete notes from the default notebook when I move them, but that's not happening. Basically I want the notebook cleared out when I move the file, so I don't move it again. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,385 Posted April 23, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted April 23, 2014 The default action should be to move, not copy - what's your OS / EVernote client? And from and to where are you moving notes? Link to comment

If you've moved it to a different notebook, it no longer resides in the default notebook. Link to comment
FierceChristian 0
Windows 7, Evernote 5,3,1When Neat scans them into the Default notebook 'Notes.' When they are in this notebook, I change the file name and I set the notebook from the default to the notebook I select in the drop down menu on the note. I hope that gives you enoughi information Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,385 Posted April 23, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted April 23, 2014 Are we talking Neat notes or Evernote notes, because the only way (AFAIK) to move a note from one notebook to another is to use Evernote. Which defaults, as I said to move not copy. If you're somehow using other software that might explain the cloning. Link to comment
FierceChristian 0
I am using a Neat scanner scanning to Evernote...so I suppose that could be the problem. Link to comment

I suggest you contact Neat or browse their message board. I've used NeatReceipts/NeatWorks/NeatDesk/Neatco/Neat/Whatever-their-name-is-at-this-moment for about seven years. AFAIK, the only integration between Neat-whatever & Evernote is the NeatConnect wireless scanner. If that's what you're using, then for a $500 scanner, they should be able to help you. (Actually, it sounds like you need to contact them anyway, since it appears to be an issue with Neat sending to Evernote.) Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,385 Posted April 23, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted April 23, 2014 Are you talking about scanning to an Import Folder and moving those files into Evernote? An Import Folder can be set to delete or keep imported files - see Tools > Import Folders for that setting... Link to comment
