sync problems on windows application xp

I am having problems syncing evernote on my windows xp machine.  I sign in and I get a prompt that in order to sync I need to enter my password.  I enter my password and it attempts to sync and then the problem repeats itself.

 

This coincidentally happened after support for windows xp ended April 8th and my subsciption renewed April 13th.

 

I've singed out, un-installed and reinstalled the software however still no luck!  Are there any known solutions out there for this problem?
