Export with dates

Is it possible to export all notes in a notebook along with the dates? Export works fine but all you get is the notes and no dates.

Export to an HTML file. I think it is the only non-evernote format you can read without Evernote

Yeah, it's not in the HTML. The Evernote format is pretty readable without Evernote; it's just a text file, and reasonable close to HTML (it's a superset of XHTML; see http://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/enml.php), but you'd need to write some code to be able to interpret it properly.

So you cant get the dates with the export to HTML but can you get dates in a text file that is readable? I need to be able to add these notes to another document with the dates intact.

Evernote format is a text file that's readable. Check out the doc that I pointed you at, and try exporting to ENEX yourself and examining the results.

Readable yes.....but not practical for a novice to try and organize a whole mess of notes to try and get the dates posted along with the notes

If you plan on exporting, I recommend an organizational approach that will work across apps and operating systems.
