chinarut 29
i rolled back an old 2007 mac that is starting to choke on 10.7 to 10.6. definitely snappier. However, I noticed I can't format notes on the latest Evernote Mac OS X Client (5.5, Direct download) in particular - bold, italics, highlighting. using another client (eg. iPhone) to format the note that can't be formatted on 10.6 works. this is a clunky workaround, of course. anyone else have this issue and find a workaround for those still using Evernote on 10.6 for whatever reason? chinarut 29
ok - I've discovered this is not SL (10.6) related. I cloned to a SSD, created a new partition, installed Lion (10.7), migrated all my settings, and interestingly enough Evernote 5.5 isn't formatting my notes. for some reason, I can format notes on SL (which wasn't working before) i have an unsupported configuration (i've moved the database to a different partition using a symlink) so I just want to know if there are any other power users out there who have ever experienced the inability to format and if they were able to fix it. thanks! chinarut 29
ok created a local database and I'm able to reproduce the bug in a supported (no symlink) 10.7 configuration. I'll contact support directly at this point. Link to comment
chinarut 29
ok we're in business after a Software Update. formatting works on 10.7.5 both with a database in its default location and with a symlink. I'm not sure what was going on with 10.6.8 but for whatever reason, it works now and is my backup config. and for the record, SSD upgrade is *highly* recommended for anyone still looking to squeeze new life out of old macs you have lying around!
