Regional user denial in windows client

Evernote seems to have a local service aims at Chinese users (yinxiang.com). So obviously there are Chinese users with accounts on both evernote.com and yinxiang.com. Somehow the latest Windows client (5.2.0.2946) thinks mindless geo-redirection is a cool thing to do. Whenever I hit the sync button, it tries to connect app.yinxiang.com despite my account is on evernote.com! The result? 500 Internal Server Error all the time!

 

Please, what can I say? This bug is not sophistecated enough to worth any complaint; it deserves laughter!

Thank you for posting. We have been investigating this issue. Thanks for the additional information. Do you use the same username or email address for both services?

Well, to make it clear: I have only one evernote.com account; I never used yinxiang.com. By "both" I mean within my geoip block there are two types of active accounts from either domain, or indeed some users may have both.

 

The behavior of Windows client (the same 5.2.0.2946 version) was correct until today. This may be a backend issue, but relates to the windows client. iOS client and web interface are unaffected.

I'm having the same issue on Windows client. Version is 5.2.0.2946. Got "Sync failed due to unexpected problem at server side" error right after I hit the sync button.
