Unable to use Bold, Italics, Underline

Hi I am a huge fan of the app and have been using it for years for studying. For the first time I have encountered a problem where I cannot use the Bold, Italics, and Underline options on the app for Mac. I click on these options but when I type the default font shows up.

 

Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Hmmm I cannot reproduce this. Using the latest version downloaded from www.evernote.com (not the Mac App Store), I can switch between font styles without a problem.

 

Does this happen on a fresh, new note? Is it possible that you are trying this in a note with some copy and pasted text from a website or wordprocessor that is messing with adding new formatting?
