Level 5* tavor 668 Posted March 7, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted March 7, 2014 I use the EN desktop app and Android apps on my mobile devices. All of these require me to login only once and saves my login info so I can launch the apps without having to manually log in with every launch. Would enabling two-step verification change that? ScottLougheed 1,316
No, but it does change that initial login. On a day-to-day level things should be the same, but if you have to un-install and re-install the application, THAT log-in process is a little more complex. Thankfully this is not a common occurrence and the emphasis is on a little more complex. It isn't terrible at all. Link to comment
ScottLougheed 1,316
Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend using Authyhttps://www.authy.com/thefuture Makes two-factor authentication for many major services VERY easy, desktop or mobile. Link to comment
Level 5* tavor 668 Posted March 7, 2014 Author Level 5* Share Posted March 7, 2014 OK, I enabled two-step authentication and signed into the EN Windows app and Android app. So if I need to use EN Web, I have to pull up the authenticator app (I used Google Authenticator) and use the current verification code? Google Authenticator doesn't list Evernote as an account, but whenever I launch Authenticator, the first screen shows an Evernote verification code. Is that normal behavior? If I set up a second non-Google account in Authenticator, will Evernote then be listed as an account? Link to comment
ScottLougheed 1,316
I use Authy so I am not sure of the specifics of Google authenticator. I suspect if you set up another two-factor account (say, google or dropbox) it could show any of those verification codes upon launch too, but since you only have the one, it's always going to show that.
