Always show PDFs in notes as attachments

changstein

Idea

I know you can do this for all new notes, and for specific notes one at a time.  Is there a way to reset this for all PDFs and attachments on the Mac client so that they are viewed as attachments and not inline?  Looks like there is a registry key setting for windows, but haven't been able to find anything for the mac.

Thanks,

In the application preferences, under "clipping", you can choose whether the default is as an "attachment" or "inline".

See the screen capture here:

Yes, but as changstein mentioned, that preference only applies to new notes.

There is currently no way to do this for all existing notes.

Just to put my 2-cents in, I checked the AppleScript API and the ENML for shown and hidden PDFs, and there's control in either of those location.  It's definitely platform-specific and the setting isn't stored in the public API as far as I can see.  I expect that two Macs on the same Evernote account could have different view settings for the same PDF in the same note.
