How does the evernote alert reminder work exactly?

I'm not getting an email reminder alert (yes, i did tick the reminder box)

 

I'm just wondering if there are any settings I missing. I'm using gmail.

 

As a further question ... I'm suppose to be getting an email in the morning of the day I request the reminder right??

 

Another question ... is there any apps or add on out there to have more of a finite control of this alert reminder system? For example ... get a remidner in evernote then another system will alert a few hours before the event etc...

Hi - welcome to the forums.  Check what email address Evernote has for contacting you - go to My Account via Evernote.com.  Also Tools > Options > Reminders.

 

There are a few websites that you can email to that will email you back with a reminder,  and IFTTT can play games with inbound emails - see followup.cc as example.

I changed the timezone and set an example reminder this morning, and lo and behold received an emailed in my inbox!

 

And I found free versions of email reminders so I'll how that works out.

At best I'd want this as an option, otherwise this could get extremely unruly! If I needed to see things that are overdue, I'd just open the Evernote app.

And your reminders,  unless cancelled,  are listed nicely in single notebook view or in All Notes view and in date order;  so you have the information easily available ...
