Level 5* EdH 1,670 Posted February 4, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted February 4, 2014 Anyone have a good suggestion to filter emails you've CC'd yourself on from the Evernote client in a Gmail account? I've had a filter set up for a year+ now that worked well - it was simply "from" my email address and had the words "from Evernote" in it. But Evernote has changed what their sig is to Evernote helps you remember everything and get organized effortlessly. Download Evernote. So I could change my filter again, but then Evernote could change their sig again and it would never be right. I specifically mention Gmail because the filter settings are somewhat limited as far as I know. I'd just like to have the Emails that I send and CC myself on be labeled and auto-archived so I have a record of them, but they aren't in my inbox. Link to comment

You'd have to change the address in Evernote, but it would uniquely flag all generated emails. Link to comment
Level 5* EdH 1,670 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Level 5* Share Posted February 4, 2014 Well, I am the sender, so that doesn't work as the sole filter. I understand how the email alias in Gmail works but 1) not sure if it works for corporate accounts and 2) even if it did, that meant people would get emails from mynamel+tag@companyname.com and not myname@companyname.com, and some server block the + anyway - I think they don't want to be given an alias. IFTTT doesn't add any functionality over Gmail's operators - in fact it uses gmail search operators, so by doing IFTTT, I'd only be delaying it until IFTTT saw it. good thoughts, but don't see how I make them work. FOr now, I'll update my filter to have the new Evernote sig. My preference is they stop putzing with it, but that is doubtful. I mean, why should I have any control over the sig that goes out on an email I send from an Evernote business account, right? Link to comment
