jbignert 473
Thx for the report, we will take a look. It is not uncommon that Canary breaks extensions in the early stages. Link to comment
TMighell 1
I am having the same problem, with the 1807 build of Canary - it just updated to 1809 yesterday and still having the same problem. When I click on the Web Clipper nothing happens. I am on Mac osX 10.9.1 Interestingly, when the extension first installs, the toolbar appears as part of the demo - then it vanishes and the button is bricked. Thanks! Tom Link to comment
SGTMcClain 1
I am having the same issue where in Canary the web clipper button does nothing at all. Windows 8Chrome 34.0.1814.2 canary Link to comment
jbignert 473
Yes Chrome made some changes in their API that are part of Canary. The next release will make Web Clipper compatible. Link to comment
victorhooi 1
Hi, I can confirm I have the same issue on Google Chrome Dev (not Canary), on OSX 10.9.1. Any ETA on this update? Cheers,Victor Link to comment
neuropet 0
Same issue here. Macos 10.7.5 / Version 34.0.1823.4 canary Link to comment
Pansylee 1
Same here. I'm using Chrome Version 38.0.2087.0 canary (64-bit) Windows 7. When I click "Save" it just keeps syncing. Link to comment
jbignert 473
Canary often behaves this way, we test against stable and beta so if Web Clipping is important the best recommendation I have is to stay on one of thoose channels. Link to comment
Streton 0
I am using chrome version 35.0.1916.153 m on Windows 7 and webclipper is not working. Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,586 Posted July 16, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted July 16, 2014 I am using chrome version 35.0.1916.153 m on Windows 7 and webclipper is not working. Same version, same OS, working fine for me. When you say "not working", what does that mean? In other words, what did you do, and what happened? Link to comment
Streton 0
When I click on the web clipper I can select a folder and add tags. Then when I click on save the syncing symbol appears and it spins indefinitely without ever actualling syncing to my account. Link to comment
jbignert 473
What URL is this happening on? Link to comment
Streton 0
It has happened probably 20 or 30 URLs in the last week. A lot of those would have been newspaper articles (eg., http://www.calgaryherald.com/technology/Coyotes+will+flourish+amphibians+will+hotter+drier+Alberta/9970870/story.html) Link to comment
jbignert 473
Thx,That sample page clips fine in our testing. If you can reproduce the issue and send the Clipper error logs to me in a Private Message I can look into it further. Link to comment

jbignert 473
Right, there's a bug that affects some installations. I'll send you a private message in the next few days with a build to diagnose this better. Sorry for the inconvenience. Link to comment

jbignert 473
We just released a fix to patch this error popup. Users should get auto updated to the latest version 6.2.1 which has the fix applied either in the background or on Chrome restart. To force updates manually:1) Visit chrome://extensions and set it to developer mode and push the button 'Update Extensions Now' at the top of the page. 2) Users can uninstall then re-install from https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/evernote-web-clipper/pioclpoplcdbaefihamjohnefbikjilc And then verify you are running 6.2.1 Sorry for the inconvenience. Streton 0
Thanks that got the update installed properly. Although I was stilling having problems with webclipper, until I uninstalled the Hoot Suite extension. There might be a conflict there. Link to comment

zoofen 0
I too just noticed the web clipper is not working...I've tried on 10 or so various websites. At first nothing happened so I uninstalled and re-installed the clipper. Then I got this error message:"The Clipper couldn't start on this page. Reload the page and try again. If that doesn't help, contact customer support." Here are a few of the websites I tried:http://ny.eater.com/maps/the-38-essential-new-york-restaurants-january-14/oriental-gardenhttp://orientalgardenny.tumblr.com/ I'm using:Mac 10.6Chrome Version 37.0.2062.124Evernote: 6.2.6(5e9ac9e/1.1.0.926) Thanks,T Link to comment
