How to remove unintended second account and change email on first

I have a single Evernote account for which I need to change the email address.  I know how to do that--however, I recently inadvertently added another account with the email address I want to change it to.  The problem is that when I tell the system that I want to use the new email address, it is already in use.  When I try to log in to the newer account, the system automatically logs me into the original account.  Thanks!

Hi - welcome to the forums.  To solve your problem,  log in to the newer account via a web browser and Evernote.com.  Click the drop-down by your name and change the email address to another (previously unused) one.  Then do the same with your main account and use the preferred address.
