etimer 2 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Is a SanDisk the only pen drive that EN install to? Why is that because I have some big capicity pen drives but they are not SanDisk. My smallest drive is a SanDisk.
engberg 89 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 SanDisk is the only vendor that makes drives that use the "U3" format. This format provides a clean way to package an application for use on the device by emulating all of the "normal" parts of Windows without requiring writing to the hard drive. From our desktop Windows client, you can also install a Portable version directly on any USB drive using: Tools > Install Evernote Portable...This doesn't have as many management features as the U3 edition (e.g. auto-update), so I'd use the U3 version if I had the choice. Thanks
