(Archived) backup my notes

Recommended Posts

Long time user of EN, but haven't used 3.0 except to dump misc info (which is about all it does). Is there a way to backup my notes anymore? I tried to export, but that only exported one note. I tried to synch, and the little wheel turned but nothing actually happened. I believe it used to sync with the cloud, but have no idea how to do that. How do you sync your notes to the cloud?

Thanks.

If your notes are in normal (Synchronized) notebooks, then they should automatically sync to the service when you press the Sync button. You can log in to your web account to see whether they are there.

You can right-click on a notebook to Export that notebook to a local .enex file.

You can find the low-level database file on your computer via: Tools > Options > Open Database folder

If you quit Evernote, you can copy this file onto a backup medium and then restore it on the new computer.

And thanks for letting me know my options. Long story short, I'm limited on backup options at the moment, so I thought I could still sync my EN db to the cloud, then re-sync after I reinstall EN on my machine. Now that I know this isn't an option, I'll do one of the others.
