I use other tools for reminders and want the screen space back. Of course this is most important on small mobile devices. In my case this means android phones & tablets. Link to comment

I do know that if you are looking at a set of notes that were chosen by tag or by notebook, then if none of the notes has any reminders, no extra screen space will be used up. Link to comment
