lawvol 8
I am using Evernote Prerelease 5.1.0.2046 (270046), on Win7 Pro 64-bit, and since the update, Evernote always seems to think it is off-line and refuses to sync. Is this a bug or something with my machine? Thoughts? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,063 Posted December 12, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted December 12, 2013 Same release, WIndows 8 - no problems with sync. If you look after any unsynced notes (including local notebooks) and backup the database, what about trying 1) Revo uninstall / reinstall and if that doesn't work2) delete database and allow the server to rebuild it - then re-import any unsynced notes and try again. Chances are this is caused by an 'unsyncable' note, but it may be hard to find it.. Link to comment
spg SCOTT 736
Before you uninstall, try looking at the activity log, see if that reveals anything noteworthy. Help -> Activity Log. Post the last few lines where it fails, it may make some sense to someone here Link to comment

(Not Firefox or any other browser) Unless things have changed in version 5 Evernote uses Internet explorer to connect on windows. Link to comment
lawvol 8
I figured out the problem. It was the 2-step authentication. All fixed now. Thanks to all for your insights! Link to comment
