drmrbrewer 11
I still can't see Evernote BB on my AppWorld (UK), so perhaps my "flavour" is not officially supported, although I think it's just an ordinary BB Bold. Nevertheless, these are the issues I'm seeing at present:(1) Seemed to be working OK via wifi at home (not that I had much of a chance to play). But now that I'm away from wifi, and connecting with 3G, I keep getting the following popup when in the client: "Error communicating with the Evernote servers: java.io.IOException: noneConnection Handler does not exist"When I OK that, and go into e.g. Text Note, all the buttons are greyed out -- presumably because there is no connection. With my brief play earlier via wifi, my various notebooks appeared as options. It's odd that I can't get any connection the servers with 3G, since all other apps I use can connect fine whether I'm using wifi, 3G or GPRS.(2) When I reboot my device (e.g. using the QuickPull utility), after entering the device's unlock password I then get the following popup:"Uncaught exception:AplpicationRegistry.waitFor(0xd7dc9c46183cf6)timeout"This message only started appearing after I installed Evernote BB, so I assume it is the culprit (or at least it is some conflict relating to Evernote BB).(3) Couldn't find a way to browse existing notes within the client interface -- opens up browser -- it's early days I suppose and more features will be added no doubt.(4) Related to (3) -- when connected to internet via a wifi connection, I notice that when Evernote BB opens up a browser to do some other stuff, the connection shown in the top right is GPRS, not wifi. The ordinary browser was showing wifi as the connection, which is clearly preferable when available. Can the Evernote browser not connect using wifi when that is available?Notes:Evernote BB 3.0.145 (48684)BB Bold (9000) 4.6.0.126 (Platform 4.0.0.135)Mike Link to comment
auburnhunter 0
I have the exact same issue. Evernote works fine on my AT&T Bold when I am at home on WiFi, but when I leave and switch to 3G I receive the same error."Error communicating withthe Evernote servers:java.io.IOException: noneConnection Handler does not exist" Link to comment
drmrbrewer 11
And to add to my list:(5) related to (4): when I select Menu > Recent Notes, it heads off to what looks like the external browser as mentioned before (which is a shame). However, the delay before any notes appear is VERRRRY long. Probably around 5 minutes. Perhaps partly due to the browser only apparently connecting via GPRS not wifi (even though wifi is available), but still that shouldn't account for such a long delay. Basically makes it unusable for browsing notes.Mike Link to comment
engberg 89
Thanks for the reports. The current BB release has problems when your device moves between one network and another. The BB libraries don't make this transparent, so we need to manually juggle all of the networks ourselves and decide which to use.At least one of your problems (the "Connection Handler") issues is caused by this behavior. We believe this is improved in the next release of the BB client, which should be out pretty soon.
